Over 100 community education classes, outreach and children’s programs are held at local venues annually.
The Garden of the Sun is maintained by dedicated MG volunteers. Several plots and gardens within the Garden of the Sun provide examples of what can be successfully grown in your landscape.

Class of 2027 trainees have been selected!
The interviews have been conducted, and the difficult task of selecting the Class of 2027 trainees has been completed.
We want to thank everyone for their interest in the program, and congratulate those of you who have received your acceptance letters as part of the incoming class.
Again, thank you for to all the potential candidates and to our many volunteers who have made the process to date so successful.
Classes begin in January; payment of tuition for those selected can be made on-line in our “Donate and Shop” section of this website.

The Garden provides a beautiful and safe environment for its neighbors! Over 100 community education classes, school field trips, tours and special events are held annually at the Garden.
The Children’s Garden offers a place to learn and explore!
Volunteers maintain the garden beds, each plot demonstrating a growing technique, seasonal fruits, vegetables or unique plants.

The sale this past year was a fantastic success, thanks to your support!
The sale next spring in March 2027 will be at the Garden of the Sun!
New location, same great selection!
Over 5,000 plants were grown from seeds, cuttings or clippings by the MG Propagation Team.
Hoop houses were used to provide ideal growing conditions over the winter months.
MG volunteers were on hand to answer your questions about planting conditions, locations and watering requirements!
Twenty-nine varieties of tomatoes were grown for this year’s sale! Over 1,100 tomato plants were sold!
