Over 100 community education classes, outreach and children’s programs are held at local venues annually.
The Garden of the Sun is maintained by dedicated MG volunteers. Several plots and gardens within the Garden of the Sun provide examples of what can be successfully grown in your landscape.

The Garden provides a beautiful and safe environment for its neighbors! Over 100 community education classes, school field trips, tours and special events are held annually at the Garden.
The Children’s Garden offers a place to learn and explore!
Volunteers maintain the garden beds, each plot demonstrating a growing technique, seasonal fruits, vegetables or unique plants.

Over 5,000 plants were grown from seeds, cuttings or clippings by the MG Propagation Team.
Hoop houses were used to provide ideal growing conditions over the winter months.
MG volunteers were on hand to answer your questions about planting conditions, locations and watering requirements!
Twenty-nine varieties of tomatoes were grown for this year’s sale! Over 1,100 tomato plants were sold!
